Amazon has flown Leo (and earlier Project Kuiper) missions on Atlas V (KA-/LA-*), Falcon 9 (KF-*), and Ariane 6 (LE-*). This hub does not invent a live in-orbit satellite total or a complete mission count — see Amazon’s numbered mission list for the current figure.

Amazon Leo FAQ

When is the next Amazon Leo launch?

Next is LV-01 (Leo Vulcan 1) on ULA Vulcan VC6L from SLC-41, Cape Canaveral — targeted Friday, Nov 13, 2026 at 12:54 p.m. ET (17:54 UTC), pending range approval (Amazon mission update; ULA). See the LV-01 launch page for the live countdown.

What is Amazon Leo (and Project Kuiper)?

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit broadband constellation, formerly Project Kuiper (renamed Nov 13, 2025 per Amazon). Its goal is fast internet beyond existing networks. Full-scale deployment began in 2025. This page does not state a live in-orbit satellite total — check Amazon's mission updates for the current figure.

What flies after LV-01?

LE-04 (Leo Europe 4) on Arianespace Ariane 64 from Kourou is NET Nov 23, 2026; exact window TBD (Arianespace / Amazon). Planned for 36 satellites. See the LE-04 launch page, Ariane 64, and Kourou watch guide.

How many satellites are on LV-01 and LE-04?

LV-01: 40 (largest Leo payload to date on Vulcan; first of 38 contracted Vulcan Leo missions). LE-04: 36 (fourth Ariane 6 Leo flight of 2026; second with the larger 36-sat stack). Source: Amazon.

Which rockets launch Amazon Leo?

Contracted and flown mix includes ULA Atlas V (historical), ULA Vulcan, Arianespace Ariane 6/64, SpaceX Falcon 9, and Blue Origin New Glenn. New Glenn LN-01 is listed as 2026 TBD on trackers — no firm date. See Vulcan, Ariane 64, New Glenn, and Falcon 9.

Why does LV-01 matter beyond the constellation?

It is Vulcan's return-to-flight after the GEM 63XL nozzle grounding, the first VC6L (six solids), an improved nozzle, a LEO-optimized Centaur V, and the long fairing. See the Vulcan FAQ for vehicle context. Do not treat national-security recertification as cleared unless a later source confirms it.

Was this called Project Kuiper?

Yes. On Nov 13, 2025, Project Kuiper was renamed Amazon Leo (Amazon). Missions before the rename often use Kuiper codes (KA-/KF-); later Atlas missions use LA-*, Ariane LE-*, Vulcan LV-*, and New Glenn LN-*.
