Naro, on Korea's south coast, is where the Nuri rocket flies. The space centre itself is closed on launch days, but the county has made watching easy: a viewing tower and several beaches give a direct line of sight over the sea, with free entry on launch days when the county opens it. Crowd measures for a Nuri launch can be heavy.

The space centre is closed to the public on launch days, but Goheung County opens a viewing tower about 17 km away and nearby beaches and islands give a view. The county has opened the tower free of charge for Nuri launches, with limited indoor places.
For the fourth Nuri launch in November 2025 Goheung County opened the Goheung Space Launch Viewing Tower free of charge with sequential entry and about 200 people allowed inside at a time. The tower is about 17 km in a straight line from the centre and has a direct view of the pad.
Visitors who could not get in were pointed to Namyeol Sunrise Beach and other coast and island spots. The Naro Space Center itself was fully closed to the public, and the Space Science Museum closed for the launch days.
Public pad tours exist only at special times such as the annual Goheung Aerospace Festival, with advance registration (the 2026 tour ran 2 to 5 May and sold out early).
If you cannot be there: KARI and the Korea AeroSpace Administration stream Nuri launches. The launch page lists the webcast when Launch Library 2 has the link.

Travel advisories and local rules
South Korea's entry rules depend on your nationality; check them before booking.
Entry rules, permits and security conditions differ by country and change. Read your own government's current travel advice before you plan a trip around a launch.
Goheung is about a 4-hour drive from Seoul, or a few hours by train and bus from the south coast cities. Follow county announcements for traffic control, shuttle and entry rules on launch day, and expect traffic.
Safety
Stay out of the Naro Space Center and the marked safety areas. On launch nights the coast is cold and windy, so wear warm clothing. Follow on-site staff for crowd control.
What to bring
Warm clothing, tripod and binoculars for night launches, a power bank, a folding chair and a phone with the live stream.
